what is a standard postcard size?
The measurements of a postcard generally come in two sizes, with one being more common than the other. The more common postcard size is A6 (105mm x 148mm) and the less common is DL size ( 210mm x 99mm). When choosing a size your decision should be based on 1. will it be mailed, and so will it be mixed in with other DL items? 2. What size and shape best suits the information that you are conveying? The 3rd and final, if you’re going to try and break through the clutter even more, you can have your postcard custom shaped, like the above image.
GSM, Microms and finish
When it comes to postcards, your options for GSM and finish are only limited by your intended use. Assuming you would like your postcard reverse to be written on, for example, you should allow for an uncoated stock.
Postcards can have a matt of gloss celloglaze on the front, preserving you ability to write on the reverse; or you can opt of the environmentally friendly look and feel and use a bulky uncoated card.
